Field Trip to Kilmartin Museum and Taynish National Nature Reserve
Sunday 8th June 2008

Packed lunches will be provided. Suitable clothing and footwear should be taken for walking in the sun/rain, and rubber boots for wading in the sea (if desired).

Walk to shore at Linne Mhuirich (shallow sea loch with tidal rapids) to forage for seaweeds at low tide.
This is a walk of just under 4 km (round trip) along a level, but rough, track through the Taynish peninsula - a beautiful, remote, woodland nature reserve. Click here for an information leaflet on the reserve.
