New: Open ended call with 3-4 week turn-around time.
CCAP is part of the ASSEMBLE EU FP7 research infrastructure network which has recently been launched.
ASSEMBLE offers on-site and remote access for European research groups to conduct marine research projects. Both CCAP and the Roscoff Culture Collection in Brittany are part of ASSEMBLE.
Under ASSEMBLE, you may write short proposals to obtain CCAP cultures free of charge (any shipment costs will also be free of charge). There is a minimum order size of 5 cultures.
To be eligible, you must belong to a European laboratory (or that of an associated state, but not from the UK, and not part of the ASSEMBLE network).
Procedure
- Also complete the downloadable CCAP order form indicating clearly that you are submitting an ASSEMBLE application in the additional notes. This should then be FAXed or scanned and send to CCAP.
You should know about four weeks later whether or not your proposal has been accepted.
Once the application is accepted, we will send you the strains.
* Much of the information requested in the application form is required for EU demographic statistics, note that this is not part of a competitive selection procedure.
